Gozem Hits the Gas: From Lome to Brazzaville and Beyond

If there’s one thing we love at AfricArena, it’s watching success stories come full circle, and Gozem’s journey has been exactly that. From taking home an AfricArena Award in 2022, to joining us on stage at the AfricArena Togo Summit 2025, to now officially expanding operations into Brazzaville, Congo, Gozem continues to prove why they’re one of Africa’s most innovative super apps.
If you’ve spent any time in Francophone Africa, you’ve probably seen a flash of Gozem green zoom past you, and no, it wasn’t your imagination. It was the continent’s leading Super App, and they’re not slowing down anytime soon.
After making moves across Togo, Benin, Gabon, and Cameroon, Gozem has now officially launched in Brazzaville, Congo, taking another bold step in their mission to simplify everyday life through digital innovation made by Africa, for Africa.

From Lomé With Love (and Innovation)
2025 has been quite the ride. Gozem joined us at the AfricArena Togo Summit recently this year, an event that brought together investors, founders, and innovators shaping West Africa’s tech scene.
Then, just when we thought things couldn’t get any better, we teamed up again for the AfricArena x Gozem Innovation Night, a high-energy evening in Lomé filled with pitching, networking, and enough bright ideas to power an entire city grid.
It’s partnerships like this that define what we do at AfricArena.Because whether you’re a mobility giant like Gozem or a seed-stage startup just starting your journey, we believe in creating spaces where everyone, big or small can collide, collaborate, and co-create the future of African tech.

Gozem Goes Global(ish)
So what’s the big deal about Brazzaville? Well, apart from being one of Central Africa’s fastest-growing cities, it’s also a market ripe for smart, secure, and sustainable mobility, and Gozem is stepping in right on time.
Following a $30 million Series B fundraise earlier this year, Gozem is taking its “Super App” model, a seamless blend of ride-hailing, delivery, and fintech, to new frontiers.
Residents of Brazzaville can now book taxis (standard or comfort), rent rides by the hour, and pay directly through the app, all while helping drivers, lovingly dubbed “Champions”, access more income opportunities and digital tools for safer, traceable trips.
In short: Gozem isn’t just filling the gap left behind by others, they’re redefining how Africa moves.
